Atmosphere refers to the various atmospheric layers that envelop the planet and create conditions that are the foundation for life on Earth. The burning of fossil fuels as an energy source has been crucial for economic growth but has also increased the concentration of carbon in the atmosphere, leading to dramatic climate change. Achieving Net Zero Emissions will require renewable energy to be expanded on an unprecedented scale in order to decouple economic growth from carbon emissions.
