Following last year’s hiatus during the pandemic, Frieze London and Frieze Masters 2021 return to Regent’s Park this October, accompanied by a dedicated online programme that aims to connect the world with the fair.

Taking place from October 13-17, Frieze London and Frieze Masters will bring together galleries from over 40 countries to present art across the ages, from ancient art and old masters to modern classics and cutting-edge contemporary.

A dedicated London edition of Frieze Viewing Room continues the fair online and features an expanded list of exhibitors, connecting international galleries and audiences. Building on the hybrid format successfully launched in London last year, the fair’s core programme of artist talks, special projects and commissions will be accessible both in-person and on Frieze Viewing Room.

What to expect from the Deutsche Bank Wealth Management Lounges

New works by Idris Khan will feature in the Deutsche Bank Wealth Management Lounges at each of the fairs, building on the bank’s long-standing relationship with the artist. Commenting on his new works in the lounge, Khan said: “I’m inviting the viewer to fall into the words, colour and musical marks and bring their own thoughts and emotions to them.”

The lounges will also focus on a campaign to highlight the positive steps we are taking with our partners to make our events more sustainable. You can learn more about our Positive Steps initiative here.

Art:LIVE London edition – in collaboration with Frieze

Frieze London and Frieze Masters will also welcome the third instalment of Art:LIVE, an online video collaboration between Deutsche Bank and Frieze. This edition takes the theme of ‘A New World’ and will offer expert viewpoints on contemporary art and culture as well as behind-the-scenes footage from the fair.

Highlights will include insights on a more sustainable urban landscape from star architect Bjarke Ingels, a first look at Anicka Yi’s highly anticipated Turbine Hall commission at Tate Modern, an intimate tour of the Deutsche Bank Wealth Management Lounge with artist Idris Khan, and a guided view of Frieze London and Frieze Masters fairs by the senior members of the Frieze team and other leading art experts.

Proud Global Lead Partner

“We are extremely proud of our partnership with Frieze,” said Claudio de Sanctis, Head of the International Private Bank and CEO EMEA for Deutsche Bank. “Our longstanding collaboration not only enables us to connect with our clients and support contemporary art worldwide, but to partner with Frieze in their mission to make the global fairs more inclusive and sustainable.”

“I am also thrilled that this year sees the continuation of Art:LIVE online at Frieze London and Frieze Masters, making the fair more accessible to all by bringing it into the homes of thousands of people worldwide who cannot attend in person,” de Sanctis added.

Global Head of Deutsche Bank Art & Culture, Anna Herrhausen said: “Our longstanding partnership with Frieze underlines Deutsche Bank’s commitment to encouraging new and noteworthy artistic talents from across the globe. For over 40 years the bank has supported contemporary art and artists, believing that art transcends boundaries and connects people by creating shared experiences and perspectives.”
