Deutsche Bank's NextGen debuts in Asia at Frieze Seoul

September 2025 marked a milestone for Deutsche Bank’s NextGen programme as we hosted our very first event in Asia, continuing our mission to connect and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs worldwide

Following successful gatherings in London, Frankfurt and New York, Seoul welcomed our next generation community with an unforgettable experience curated around a key moment on Asia’s cultural calendar: Frieze Seoul.

Hosted by Deutsche Bank Private Bank’s Head of Emerging Markets, Marco Pagliara, and Head of North Asia, Frederick Fong, the NextGen event offered an introduction to artists and cultural enterprises, as well as a chance to network with future business leaders.

Pagliara said: “The NextGen program in Seoul was an immersive experience that combined learning, networking, and cultural exploration.”

Art and entrepreneurship

Frieze Seoul has rapidly become a cornerstone of the Asian contemporary art scene, attracting leading galleries, visionary artists and cultural innovators from across the globe. Against this vibrant backdrop, our NextGen guests explored how creativity and commerce intersect, gaining insights into how art can inspire entrepreneurial thinking and global connectivity.

Our programme showcased two areas where Deutsche Bank excels, art and entrepreneurship, emphasising the importance of integrating these in today’s global economy.
